OMG!!! I had that EXACT blow dryer. Of course, at the time, I also had hair!!!!

Thank God, I at least retained my beautiful looks! (Okay, troops, you can take that and run with it).

RON

I had one of these too!

And I still have hair...
"on my head"

Take THAT and run with it....

Ooooh nevermind....don't. LOL

Those were good hair dryers, but those combs sure were hard on your head. I think the starting bid is a little high though, but then that's just me, I'm a cheap old broad.

C-feeling mischevious today

Ohhh Veeeeeeggggggge!

This is the sort of thing our dear Veg-O-Matic should bid on.

My sister and I shared the Conair version of this dryer.

I had the Sunbea variable speed version of this. I used it until the late 1980s or early 1990s. All the attachments wore out over time. But it was incredible blow dryer.

Ron, I know ya still got hair (wink). And that go-tee is da bomb!!! And the looks too. You still got it all dude!! GRR

LOL. I had TWO Supermax dryers. One had high/low settings, color was brown I think. The other was a Supermax Adjustable, had a rotary switch that varied the heat and airflow, it was a dark blue color IIRC.

Speaking of Farrah..I've seen her a couple of times on talk shows and she really doesn't seem to be that bright. Contrast that to Goldie Hawn who's claim to fame was playing a bimbo but from seeing her on talk shows certainly comes across as being astute, informed and very intelligent. It really surprised me just how opposite she was to her character.

ours still works

Goodness, it wasn't until I read this thread that I realised it - ours still works! It has been in use in the family for over thirty years.
Wahnsinn!!
I do remember those attachments. I tried them once and threw them all away. Daring at my age, but glad I did.
Ouching your hair big was not my thing.
The orange color is still the same radioactive orange...wonder how much camium is in it?

Could you imagine the commercial. Some 70s babe blowing herself while some crazy disco music pounded in the background.

"The supermax by Sunbeam. The only way to get thick, beautiful hair. Available at TG&Y, Woolco and Western Auto"

Farrah Fawcett hair products

Remember her hair care line?? It was SOOOOO good and the smell of the products would put you in a trance....Bill in Az.....

Thank God, I at least retained my beautiful looks!

Oh honey...Me thinks that you've been looking in your vintage mirror!!!! YIKES :-)

No need to bother, Ron, I've just slapped myself!!!

Mine was a Norelco. It was in a box just like the shavers with places for all the attachments. It only lasted a couple years though, then after that I had one of the L shaped ones, more like there are now.

I liked those 70s L shaped blow dryers. The one I remember was white and had 3 toggle switches (hehehe) One for one/off, and 2 for heat control. And yes, UP was on.

The motor made this funny "whOOOOO!" when it was running. But I don't remember the brand.
