Just to let you all know that Tammy Faye is not doing well. Hospice has been called in, so I guess it's just a matter of time now. Please say a prayer. Hugs to all, Mark
I have been including her in my prayers for some time.
In an Advocate interview, she spoke movingly about the gay men who were kind to her during the scandal period. It is good to know that many of them have stayed on with her.
My Mom and I used to enjoy watching her "House Party" show on PTL back in the day. While I'm not a religious person, and not generally a fan of televangelists, I always had a soft spot for her. She kind of reminded me of Dolly Parton, and seemed to be a gentle soul, sincere in her message. I hope her suffering is not prolonged.
Not too far from Fort Worth for a while, She came to our church a few years ago and said that the "Gay Family" helped her so much get thru her ordeal with Jim.. She is really a very kind and caring person. God Bless Her.
So very sad. Last time I saw her on TV she was on Larry King Live. They had listed her PO Box to send Get Well wishes and I sent her out a card. I always wondered if she received it.
She's a kind and loving lady. Tammy Sue and Jay are very lucky to have such a giving and open minded Mom. Can't imagine how they must feel. I thank god every day for the gift of my mother.
Mark, Please, if you can, send my love to her. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Mark, I'm sorry to hear this. Isn't/wasn't one of your dogs named after her? Wow, Julia and now Tammy Faye. I know it's like losing a member of your family. Bob
I always figured her to be a class-act, that ended up in some unfortunate circumstances, Like everyone else does sooner or later. I do wish great comfort for her. So sad, She sure has fame though, everybody knows who Tammy Faye is, and that is a life well lived.
And very sorry to hear this news. I loved watching the PTL club in the beginning.....Then I learned to love Tammy all over again watching the surreal life.
She is in my prayers as are you.......
I have spent some time looking some stuff up on you tube. I really like the message her son has to give.
On the Surreal life a couple of years back, and man was I impressed with her character, and her heart. What an amazing woman who really lives her faith!
I am sorry to hear she is so ill, and will certainly keep her in my prayers as well.
Very sad. I loved her on the "Surreal Life". Watched the special on Sundance of her son Jamie, "One Punk Under God"
He visited her a few times and she wasn't well, so he quit allowing the film crews in. I wish her comfort, and she is in thoughts and prayers on my end.
