Tap Cold Temperatures

The tap cold water in Beltsville is up to 70F so I have discontinued use of the tempering valve that John got me at the Habitat for Humanity Store years ago.

 

The heat has dried a lot of the moisture out of the soil so I gave the bananas a good soaking Saturday evening and by Sunday the emerging leaves on the big clump had lengthened by close to a foot.

Hard to say

Since our hot water system uses recirculation off the boilers tap hot water is always just that to extreme. As such it tends to "heat" cold water pipes next to, so much that in order to get "cold" water often have to run that tap for a bit.

yeah, I have to temper back the shower setting quite a bit, extremes in fact to stay within a warm shower....

Our water comes from deep wells and is stored in water towers. Temp is warmer up in Minneapolis/St.Paul where water from the Mississippi River is used. In winter water temps will fall to around 40F.
