Tappan Electric?

I always thought that there was a gentlemans agreement in Mansfield, OH that Tappan only made gas ranges while Westinghouse made only electic ranges?

Tappan Doughboy Ranges

The Tappan Dough boy ranges came in both gas and electric models. I too thought such Tappan ranges/stoves came in only gas models but have seen electric models for sale on ebay. My mother still has a 1949 model that her parents bought when she was in high school. When her parents built a new all electric home in 1959, she bought the stove from them and has had it installed the kitchen of her home built in 1960.

More than likely an estate than from a rental house. I seldom see one with the little "crisper" and the other 2 compartments still intact. alr

There was one of these about a year ago on CL here, was never able to connect with the seller and then it disappeared from the listings. Very pretty range!
