We adopted a 2020 Speed Queen TC5 with our home purchase last month. We have found two issues that we have started addressing but need more expertise.
1. We have leveled the machine and even with just water in it, it starts leaning toward the right front and if clothes are in, it really leans. We noticed it easily pushes toward that side manually but if push it back to the left, it takes more force. We have checked the springs and they are attached. Could it be just the springs on the back are overstretched and need replacing? We can see that the styrofoam on the front and left side are chewed up (maybe from previous issue owner had) but it currently does not touch these areas. It also does not hit off side.
2. Clanking sound during agitation motion in wash and full rinse but not during spin when drum spinning opposite direction. When you move the tension spring on the front to the left to remove tension from belt, the noise stops but the agitator shows down and when you move it to the right, it starts making the clanking sound faster. We decided to change out everything in the 959P3 kit as the belt has damage and the pulley has a little wobble. This did not fix the sound unfortunately. We started looking at the aluminum pulley from kit 204486 and it is missing a bolt. Would this alone cause that much noise? With the pulley off for us to replace bolt (not sure of bolt size so maybe replace kit?), we are also wondering is the transmission supposed to be able to shake a little by hand or is it not moveable at all? How would we know if it is something more like transmission or does anyone have any ideas what to try?
I have picture of what spring I am talking about moving including the noise with close up video and further back as well and can get others if needed.
