HOLY COW!

Look at that bag!!!
Thats the same as a 707 Convertible bag, but cut for a Junior! I've never seen one of those before!
Definately a keeper David!

Oooooooooooooo!

I have never seen one with a bag like that on it before! Neat!

I love Hoover Juniors. They're powerful little machines. They're so small and charming.

Blimey!!

David- Im SO envious!!

Thats absolutly AMAZING!!!!

Even if the bag is a replacement(although why would a Junior bag be made in 707 vinyl??) its gotta be the most stunning Junior ive ever seen!

Exclusive version maybe?????

does anyone know?

If the bags were made here in the US? I believe the motor/base was made in the UK, and the rest of the stuff made here.

One possible answer is that they ran out of the normal material used to make the bags and just substituted 707 material, as it does match.
can we see a full view picture David?

I may be wrong but....

I would imagine the bags were US made- UK bags were plasticised cloth not vinyl- Jeff like on your 6525c

David

David You have a very nice junior for sure. First time I see a green bumper on one. My bumper is white on mine.

That hood does look lighter than my Junior's. I like how the bag looks, much more interesting than the plain green bag most had.

Great Find!

David,

You have a great looking Junior on your hands. Both of my model 1348s are different. The one is VERY early in the run and at some point Hoover took "indoor/outdoor" off of their cleaners and added a safety sticker on the handle about using the cleaner on wet surfaces. My other one is one of the last ones. I like your bag! I did not know that this was possible. At first I thought someone modified a 707 bag but no way this one is cut for this cleaner. I hope that you will post a glam shot of this cleaner when it is done. Thanks for sharing this Hoover oddity! I am reposting the close up of my two 1348s.

I took a few *Glamour* pix of the 1348. Motor is 2.5 amps. Tom Anderson would know what the official colors of this model were. I'm flattered yall think the bag is soo cool, but I must say, it's my least favorite part of the cleaner. I HATE the 707 colors! It does run real smooth. The cord and, i suspect, the bristles have been replaced. Click on the link to see the pix.

great!!!

Thanks David for the glam shot. The machine looks beautiful...I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I like the colors of the 707 eventhough they are outrageous. The official colors of the 1348 according to Hoover are a combination of taupe with garland green. The motor is 260 watts and it weighed 11.5 pounds with a 15' cord. These were very handy little cleaners. Thanks for sharing yours with all of us!!!

Fantastic

David

How could anyone not like the 707 :( - yes I know its a bit loud but come on it did originate in 1971 lol!.

Motor wattages

Forgot to say.....

All UK Juniors from the 1334 to the U1012 were 250W and the later flat belt versions are 300W- Also over here the rating plate/sticker started off behind the front cover, was moved to the base on the 1346 and 1354 Dirtsearcher and then returned to behind the front cover on the 1346A/1354A Dirtsearcher and U1012/U1016.
