Has anyone had experience with either of these? Research seems to say that the PES is less "harsh", but the cost is way higher. Some TENS units claim to have "ramping" but it isn't clear what that means. They also come in single or dual circuits. My guess is that means you could use in two separate areas.
Any info would helpful.

I've sort of messed around with a TENS that was prescribed for my partner quite some time ago. I've found that sometimes if feels like I'm being stuck by a needle, and other times it seems to function as it should. This same thing happened to me in physical therapy recently for a rotator cuff, but their equipment was more sophisticated and I don't know if it was a TENS or some other type. I thought perhaps the needle effect had to do with weak batteries but is probably more a case of me not knowing what I'm doing combined with sticky pads that don't stick very well anymore.

Toggle,
It is a device that sends an electrical charge from one electrode
to the other. It is used mainly for pain relief an/or muscle toning. Used incorrectly it can cause more pain then relief.
