Here is the next test file, it's a brochure for 1958 Hotpoint Chest Freezers. Click here for the sample download page.   This one is slightly larger about 9mb.

I want to point out to those who are not that familiar with reading .pdf files there are two ways you can view these documents. Try both and see which way you like better. For me it really depends on what I'm reading and how large the screen is that I'm reading the document on.  I use both interchangeably.

#1 Single Page View (Default)

#2 Facing Page View

Now imagine what it would be like to have access every day to a different glossy brochure, owners manual or service manual to all things vintage for the home such as automatic washers, dryers, dishwashers, twin tubs and wringer washers, electric ranges, gas stoves, refrigerators,  air conditioners, stand mixers, blenders, other small electrics, vacuum cleaners, furniture, store catalogs, etc. etc!  The list could go on and on.  I think this is going to be super fun, think of it as the Picture Of The Day on Steroids.  More to come at some point soon in another post.

Fabulous!

What a great brochure, the colors are so clear and bright. I can't think of the non-upright freezers as "chest freezers", gotta call 'em "deep freezes" like my grandmother did, she always had an Amana deep freeze in the laundry room next to the 'Tags.

We still see the deep freezers at many estate sales. So many of them are from the 50's and have such fun vintage styling. We don't have room for one, not that anyone is surprised at that fact lol. We never had anything like that as a kid, my mom was not big on cooking.

Those who have access to good black and white or even color printers should try printing out this file just for the fun of it. It look great on my bw printer.

Robert the file came down perfectly.

I like the double lid freezer and she is so happy lol.

Well the feature is really nice im still dizzy thanking all the ways it works.

And is this why copyright laws are on you for this feature ?

I have great brouchurs but most of them after 1988.

Display-wise on screen, these look fantastic.

I printed the first two pages on a 4-5 year old HP Color Laser printer It is interesting to see the printer's interpretation of the blue and yellow backgrounds.

I'm certain the output quality of a more recent color laser printer would clean up some of the streaking (photo taken with a lowly iPhone 3GS under cool white florescent lighting). Still, very cool to be holding a printed copy in hand!

I like the two page scrolling option. I friend gave me a new (to me) flat screen monitor 19 or 20 inch, and even with my poor eyesight, the two page option was very easy for me to read.

Robert,

Downloaded perfectly in 15 seconds and looks incredible (opened in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro). The file is very clear and sharp - and those Hotpoint twins! Va-va-voom!

I prefer the single page scrolling, but that's me.

This is awesome - thanks so much!

Robert,

It works fine here also. Was very vivid in clarity/color. Thanks for all of your work !!
