Thanks to GregM and my father. The 1962 EASY automatic is fully restored and up and running. I have had this washer for a while now but finally got around to fixing the coupler and patching a pin-hole leak in the outer tub. I am so excited that I was able to get this amazing machine up and running. This has been my dream machine for MANY years. Enjoy AW.org

Fabulous, fabulous, FAB-YOU-LUSS!!

Was that a filter-pan you are removing in the video? Does that agitator do the Hotpoint-style "Fountain Filter" deal? So glad that machine was saved, that backsplash is just so "Elroy Jetson" I wish someone could dig up a brochure for that model line--the TOL must have been off the hook.

Geoff that looks like one beautiful machine and talk about turn-over!! Really enjoyed the video. Thanks

Congrats Jeff..... On the restoration of the 1962 Easy Washer that you have. Checked out the video, and I like the way this machine agitates its load.

I must say that this is ONE multi-faced machine though. And what I mean is that it has an agitator like a Norge, has an agitator top like a GE, and that thing sounds like a Kenmore.

Talking about having the best of all worlds......

your welcome geoff :)

Geoff, thanks for posting that vid, that is so awesome and I am thrilled that you got that machine going and are enjoying it. That really is great news, congrads again :)

Thank You ALL!!

Thanks for all your wonderful comments everyone.. Yes, the filter pan is a burp-up type. It's not totally effective but it is better than nothing. The vanes of the Spiralator force water up through the holes underneath and into the pan. The wash sounds are very Kenmore-esque. It has a rythmic hum to it. The REALLY interesting part was when I heard it go into spin for the first time. It sounds like a loud Maytag, it's really quite interesting.. When I get the chance I'll have to make a video of the spin drain. It can only be understood by being heard !!!

spray rinses too ... ... ...

I do believe this machine has a few "spray rinses" during spin as well ??
