Malcolm kindly sent me a CHROME agitator cap for my 73 or 74 Speed Queen solid tub, lots ritzier than the plastic one. And it seals better!

I took some amateur videos and posted on youtube, not exactly in order, but they will help show the Speed Queen solid tub working, and then the suds-saving adventures I do. Suds go from the SQ 73 to a 79 Filter Flo to a 77 'Tag to a 1960 Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII. I have to spell that one out all the time since it has my name in it. lol

very very nice Mark....that chrome is always a nice touch...

question....for your suds saving, why not just pump the SQ directly into the GE?....I don't have any suds machines, but this is what I learned from JohnL, line them up, and pump one into the other...

Hiya Martin-----Oh I've done that too. But sometimes the hoses are difficult to move, etc. It seems easier to have one plugged suds tub, then one standing pipe drain next to it with a large 6" diameter opening( can hold 3 drain hoses for rinse water). That way it's a few inches of moving drain hoses instead of 3 feet or so. and I can choose to suck suds into any of three machines waiting for them. But both systems work, and both have been used in my basement.

And partially it's also because I like to play around, fool with the machines to get them to do what I want, some customization. It's a hobby, after all, not just plain old washing the damn laundry.
