Now only if you could put one of those windows in one of those rubber tub washers of yours, that would be awesome!

Looks like you have a very rare demo unit there.

Very cool Robert!

Thanks....even thought I don't know what you cooked!

Nice vid Robert.........

Our new Maytag DW got a workout today - at least 4 loads ran since last evening when my wife and I started the prep for the
TG dinner this evening. Most of it was the pots/pans, mixing bowls and other various cooking utinsels. We did the unthinkable this year and did the paper plates/cups for quick clean up. Decided not to get the china out - probably do that next month during Christmas.

And no pre-rinsing needed for a KitchenAide, right Robert? I washed my Thanksgiving dishes in my early 70's KitchenAide superba.
I hope you and Fred had a great turkey day!

Suspension system---

Yes, with Robert gently, unintentionally jiggling the camera, it appears almost like a Westinghouse Laundromat during a wash or rinse cycle.

Dirty just can't hide from a Vintage KA!!! Thanks so much for the fun video. I hope that you and Fred had a great Thanksgiving.

Window for rubber tub washers

Supremewhirlpol: Bendix supplied glass plugs that fit the tub opening so that potential customers could see what happened when the wheezing started which led to the squeezing. There is a photograph in the Consumer Reports article, I believe. The end result looks sort of like a big, fat derriere mashed against a car window (safety glass), except it is gray and has more creases although in black and white photography, flesh might look the same color.

I suspect that Robert could fabricate something out of Lucite to fit that opening. It is neat to watch because as the air at the top of the tub is removed, along with some of the water, the tub collapses from the bottom to force most of the water upward then it is sucked down through the opening in the top of the agitator. By the end, though, the top of the tub blocks the view of everything except the top of the agitator column.
