Well, now that Thanksgiving has passed and we are now into the Christmas season, so I am staring the thread for everyone to share their trees, home exterior illuminations, nativities, etc...

I shall start with the work I have done at my grams house, starting with the front of the house

Sam,

It all looks fantastic!  At our house we don't put the Christ child in the Nativity display until Christmas Eve.

Yes, Epiphany would be the correct time to put the Magi into the display.  I never thought of that.  Thanks for the idea.

I love being able to bounce ideas off one another.  Thanks Sam.

I was starting to put my lights out when I got rained out today. Here is a pic of what they will look like when I get them situated tomorrow. I will not wrap the rails by the front door this time - it took 4 hours.

Everything looks very nice!

With the exception of a Advent Wreath, I don't put any up decorations or the tree until 12/24...and it all stays up until January 6th.

I started doing some decorating on the inside.

First up: I couldn't resist putting the aluminum tree up in the front room again. It's so 60's and I love it! It's starting to become a tradition now...I have another 'normal' tree I was going to put up, but I didn't think I had enough vintage style ornaments and lights to adorn it with. So, here it is in it's 7 ft. glory with red and white ornaments.

Up Next: I have a more traditional contemporary pre-lit slim 7 1/2 ft. in the great room.

It features silver and white ornaments. Some silver retro-look starbursts that I bought last year and forgot about, A few mirrored metal starbursts, vintage-style C7 multi lights, some art-deco inspired clear star ornaments and some miniature Empire State buildings.

Damn. I can't hold a camera steady to save my life....

Lastly, some real vintage bubble lights.

In the past, the Great Room tree has featured new-style bubblers, but my goal was to find some vintage ones. I did, for a good price. These, however are untested because I lack a C6 cord. I have a 'new' cord and some replacement bulbs on the way so I can repair these. They are various manufacturers. As soon as I get them fixed and working, these will be going on the tree.
