Hello everyone!
well hope all is well with everyone i rarely post a thread on the site im not really a appliance collector or huge fan HOWEVER, this site has had a very interesting affect it has hashed up some memories i had forgotten about through seeing old washers! who would have thought that after the main reason i joined it was to get help on our GE washer that since then has bit the dust a looooooooooooong time ago and was replaced by a used kenmore washer via a nice lady on craigslist in my neck of the woods. it was pretty much what i've read here when i had the opportunity to learn a thing or two about washers. my real point in this is we recently shopped for a new stove and microwave and for some reason my mother depended on me to do the research and negotiate with the sales people etc. had it not been for some of the crash courses here i wouldn't have had a clue what to do!!! so thank you AW.org and all the nice members that every now and then had emailed me saying "hi" and what not. Additionally while shopping we glanced at a frontload washer made by frigidaire i know it wasnt a bad choice just to look at it we (me and my mother) felt that in the future we would consider getting a frontloader if our kenmore died. yea i know were old school toploader fans too and they dont want a FL'er really but she came to the conclusion that some are dependable and some aren't just like in toploaders we didnt buy the washer just the stove and the microwave, but it was funny she stated "my next washing machine will be one like that a 'cute' small frontloader" and for $519.00 it was resonable and the general feeling about the "frigee's" as i call it is pretty good that particular model looked like a good fit for our household it was very simple and seemed bigger once we glanced inside. so in conclusion i say thanks again AW.org and believe it or not another thing rubbed off from here on me i would like when i eventually get my own place a GE FILTER FLO ohh yeaaaa when that time comes i'll be here asking for help again!!!
so take care everyone.
Thanks robert for creating a cool site! its been a huge help here!
