Hi Everyone! Yesterday we (Garylicious, lightedcontrols, gyrafoam, and Lady Kenmore) enjoyed playing with the new arrivals. Three completely different Blackstones!!! Here's the oldest of the three. Enjoy the photos and the video!!! Mark
As soon as the other video posts, I will share the link. Tomorrow I will show you the second Blackstone that is a later model solid tub machine. Meanwhile, here's a little teaser for tomorrow!
Hi Mark, I remember the above Blackstone from the late 60's that was displayed at a Carmel Lumber company. It was a beautiful solid tub SS machine with a filter flo like pan. Real nice washer. I hope it is in good working condition. I actually never saw a Blackstone wash. I hope you are doing well.
Best Wishes
Peter
Venus, I believe the washers were discontinued during the mid 70s. My understanding, however, is that the company continues even today, manufacturing something else.
Wonderful machines indeed! Judging by all the clothes Gary is wearing, I can't honestly say I'm sorry not to be there to enjoy the fun right at this moment, but looks like a great time had by all!
Congratulations guys, what AWESOME machines, especially that 60's model! Where in the world did you find these?
Looks like you are having fun with that 350 as well, and its power spray fill! It's amazing how smooth these machines operate, with the precision of a vintage automobile. So radically different from the average machine of its time and built like a TANK. I am still amazed at how quiet they are. The video you posted has me REALLY itching to get back to Roger's next month and put a full load in his machine so I can really see how the action is! Last time we only ran a few cloth napkins in there due to motor start switch issues on spin, but he later told me they cleared up on their own after a few more uses.
And, once again, a big YAY for less talk and more action...this should really liven things up around here!
Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit, you sure hit the Blackstone jackpot!! This really is a treasure, I loved watching the videos. Again a very nice sounding machine.
