I had DVR'd this movie, and finally got to watch it last night. The period sets from the 1920's were beautiful, as well as the clothing. Its worth the watch, for the movie sets. It's a chilling "true story". LoL it is a commitment thought it runs 2:25. Anybody else? arthur

I stopped it abt 1/2 way....
to call my friend Sandy and ask her if I was going to be angry at the end. I don't often get riled at a movie, but the gall of those people! Recommend the movie for both chilling story and the wonderful sets. Didn't you love the supervisors with skates on their high heels? Very true to the period.

Its a positively horrific true story. The town of Mira Loma, CA changed its name over the bad publicity surrounding Gordon Northcutt.

Historical accuracy
Now I've only seen bits and pieces of the film, but I know they used 1934 refrigerators and 1930s cars for scenes supposed to take place in 1928.
Yes I'm an automobile accuracy "nazi". And my Dad's model T is in one scene if you don't blink.
