That is, the ABC washer 'n' dryer ad (1960) has the crosshairs emblems stating 'WASHER' and 'DRYER' much like Kelvinator would put on their early-'60's appliances...

My grandparents had a Kelvinator set of which I mostly remember the dryer of, though think my sis & I played w/ a discarded cabinet that was a washer, that coincided with an across the street from us neighbor, back home who'd replaced her dishwasher and put a white top-loading toy at the curb that sat available until the garbage man finally got it... The latter I helped pick out an Avocado Green Kelvinator front-loader for...

So I am wondering when ABC became Kelvinator for the laundry, much like how Easy got labeled Gibson for its washer and dryer line-up...

I think it was toward the mid-50s.   IIRC, Kelvinator bought out ABC to get their paws on that 'splash-o-matic' washer design.  I didn't think the ABC name was retained as late as 1960, however!
