Who remembers the "cart" on wheels whereby the "basket" was fabric and was used to take laundry out to be hung on the line.  I know there's been a discussion at some point about these and I cannot remember what they were.  Is there an equivalent sold today?

Such as this?

The paternal step-grandmother had one.  The little wheels probably don't roll very well on a lush lawn.

A couple sources offer that type, and variations are available.

Laundry Cart

These were discussed briefly about a week ago in the Imperial forum about the 1941 Life magazine article.

My mom mainly used hers in the basement. We had a laundry chute, and sometimes it was kept under it to catch the items, then rolled to the washer.

Glenn, Tom, and Tom, thank you very much.  That's what I remembered.  I'm needing something like that now to push around the house to get laundry from one end to the other.  I can only hold so much with one hand while cane is in the other and the walker doesn't hold much either.

Have one vintage laundry cart as mentioned

With a couple of NOS liners as well.

When vinyl liners came out housewives loved them because the plastic would keep their damp laundry from drying out. So you could have things in this cart next to ironing board/ironer and get at the job at hand.
