I have always been interested in this subject and considering it's aa rainy day here i thought thjat I'd ask the question. Ok, I will begin like this. Of course I l;ove washers and dryers. We all know that love can be considered a disease. Call it OCD ADD or what you may. But traditionally, and I don't know why but women of the house have had the chore of doing the wash. BS if you ask me on that one. I'm not too good to wash or cook, clean or anything else at my house. For goodness sake, I live there too. So why not? Buit my Wife loves the fact that she does't have to worry her pretty little head abouyt washing cause I won't let her. I enjoy it too much muyself and besides, in my used machine shop when i get a unit repaired I need to babysit it through all cycles to keep my ear on guard for any problem that may come about. so I guess wshe isn't qualoified onm that one although she cab change a moptor in a Kenmore dryer in 1 hour flat and be drying her clothes in it. I know, I timed her. Even quicker on changing an element in that machine. She knows her way around the multimter so good it amazes me even. But does anyone here have a wife that dirtys up clothes on purpose or goes through a lot of clothes or puts clothes in the dirty hamper that aren't really dirty only because she knows that she AIN'T GOTTA WASH EM? I'M ONLY CURIOUS ON THIS TRIVIAL QUESTION.

please excuse my spelling, it's shameful. I can spell but I am ahead of myself because of the pot of "Cowbell" (coffee). I love calling it cowbell. It's ring-a-ding-ding, wake your ass up everyone, it's a new day. I have a lil problem with the bean so don't make fun of me. LOL. Have a cowbell of a day you all.

Good heavens!

What if there are people here who do not have wives? Are they to respond as well?

Oh my!

I have a friend of mine that loves to do laundry. He is almost like me in that department...although I change out my washer and dryer from time to time when I get tired of using what I have. He just has one set. A Kenmore top load washer and a Maytag dryer from the 80's. He will actually look for stuff to wash and will take stuff thats clean out of the drawers and closets and wash them again just to get a full load. His partner knows he does this.
I on the other hand dont do that. I do love to do laundry as well and I find its my time for peace and quiet and its just me and my machines purring away. In a strange way its relaxing and I feel like I have accomplished something...especially when everything is washed and put away. With me I like to change detergents...I have a "collection" I would say that I use...SA8 to Tide HE to Persil and MieleCare Powder. I have some high suds stuff that I cannot use in my Miele so I have been giving the stuff to my sister. I cannot even use Tide w/Bleach with a mix of Tide HE....it will suds like mad in the Miele.

I don't have this problem with artificial laundry generation, and even if I did, I wouldn't mind. I like washing in my Duet. I don't feel guilty about running through a less than full load because it uses so much less water than a TL machine.

Now, if you're talking dirty dishes, that's a whole different ball game. My partner has no regard for the amount of hand-washing he generates using things that shouldn't be placed in the dishwasher. And I go on strike quite often.
