I've heard a little bit about the Freecycle movement. I have a garage full of mayhem and foolishness that I think I could possibly send some of it their way.
I rebuilt a Neppy 5500 dryer last winter that was obtained via Freecycle. I also have a naaasty POS GE pair on which the picture provided didn't reveal the truth! (Well, maybe the dryer could be refurbished and sold.)

At the beginning of the month I picked up a 1972 Lowery Promenade electronic organ with 2 manuals and full pedal board, then later in the month I picked up an 1880's Mason & Hamlin reed organ.
I love freecycle.

The St. Louis one was featured on KMOV our CBS news station, and I am a member of nearly half of the Freecycle networks throughout Missouri plus a few Metro East Illinois networks. I think the only thing I've gotten from it was a printing calculator/adding machine with 2 sealed packages of 5 extra tape rolls from the Columbia network.

I got bored with Freecycle and prefer the less cumbersome practice of cruising the Craig's List free stuff.
