Have a look at this guys! Not sure if Siemens is available over the pond but you might have some other manufacturer for this type of machine.
Anyone in Europe have one of these??? any feedback would be appreciated as I thinking of buying one..

Well I should never spend my money at such a useless appliance. First you can only iron shirts, second they are not fold and with limited space I fold all my husbands shirts and third I can iron faster, even if the shirts are comming right out of my 1600 rpm washer. I can iron (timed) a shirt in 6 minutes without losing time with putting on taking of the shirts!! So no dressman for me.
I think bosch made them too. But I don't know if siemens is available in the UK.

I've seen them in the stores here. The price has come down quite a bit, although they are still quite expensive. Not for me, I hardly wear shirts. And it would take up too much space too.

with two men in the household working white collar and not a lot of spare time, I think it will be great. Just want to know if there is someone out there who has one. I would hate to buy one if the quality of the finished result is bad.

Asko.... how about a holiday to Scotlands best city once a month to help me with my ironing pile????

Kind of a silly product and the price, wow.
btw it's interesting looking thru that website, boy the Kitchenaid stuff is super expensive over in the UK probably double what it costs here in Canada, but the Kenwood stuff is considerably cheaper than we pay here.

I'd prefer one of those shirt presses, cheaper and more versatile.

Pete, yes, you pay a lot more for European stuff and we more for American. However I was flabbergasted to see a Braun blender on the Walmart website for under $40.- that I have never seen here for under €60.- ($72.-)

The Braun blender got the highest rating in CR last time they tested them... btw that Bosch one you were mentioning, I saw it one the shopping channel again, it was the 600 watt model for $69 Cdn. about $55 us.

Great Department store!

John Lewis is, i would say, a Sears equivalent. They have just started their own range of laundry etc that have "German technology with italian styling....
Not surprising when the manufacturer is Aeg/Zanussi!
They do seem to give more of a warranty with their own brands as my sister has just bought one.

Both 110V Bosch blenders have a 600 Watts motor, but I noticed they are indeed much cheaper at your side of the big pond. I'll have to look under one in a store to see where they are made. Perhaps they are also built on your side. Or blenders are just more expensive overhere due to a marketing reason or so. Don't know, it's odd.

My Greek relatives came to America and bought a German washing machine here. They said it was cheaper. IIRC the machine was physically shipped Germany=>America=>Greece.
How can that be and still be a *bargain*?

Uhhhh-

The product is an interesting concept, but I still think that buying some more shirts and dropping them off at the "French" Laundry would be no more expensive over a few years, and a lot easier.
