A couple of weeks ago Fred and I went to Two Rivers, WI to stay in a Frank Lloyd Wright house. I knew that the Hamilton company used to make their dryers there when they were in business. Now part of the factory is used as a Wood Type Museum and the rest of the complex is used by the Thermo Fisher Scientific Company.

We just happened to stumble upon the old dryer factory driving around the town...

WOW Robert, that is really interesting.  I have a feeling if you checked out the local library they might have a lot of the Hamilton History preserved.  That's what Rick and I did in New Britain for Universal.  I was pretty sure that Two Rivers was the home of Nesco too.  Love their Roasters!!  Thanks for sharing.

Agreed: How well-preserved and clean

the complex and surroundings are. For me, #1 & # 6 really capture the style and character of this ancient building--almost European.

I like the opening shot of you too. Showered, shaved, fresh as a daisy, ready to greet the day. Thanks!

Which Frank Lloyd Wright house did you stay at?

Jim Fred just made this post about our stay in the Super Forum...

It's nice to see a factory re-purposed into something else. Most of the time if you look at where some of the great appliances of this country were made all you see is a parking lot, empty lot of apartment buildings!
