Hi Rob

How are you doing? Good to hear from you! I am very busy but please email me anytime - I will always make time to reply to friends :-)

Actually, I didn't mean the Electron I meant the Ecologic at the top of this thread. Would love one!!! My Mum had the Electron 800 with a round door - seem pretty rare as I have never seen a pic of one on here. I think it may have been a Currys exclusive and she bought it right at the end of production before they changed the model. It was a very good machine but noisy. She even called the repair man out to try and find out why it was so noisy but he said it was normal. Her previous machine was a Bendix so that might explain it. At the time the washing machine was in the kitchen so it was more noticible. Once the utility was built it wasn't so bad. Just bought a new car so am envisaging bombing all over the place this year catching up with all the people who so kindly invited me after last years terrible events. Will deffo take u up on your kind invitation.

Pretty pretty!

How I would have loved one of those Ecologics when they were being sold! I am instantly transported to Elite Electricals, Aylesbury, circa 1992!

Is it a trick of the light or has someone disposed of the double glazed door? Good call if they have. One false move with something scratchy and and it's goodbye to washday viewing pleasure! I'm sure the missing Hoover roundel badge will be replaced to complete the high-quality look...

As regards the Hotpoint WM series: well, I can vouch for my Mum's WM12 (1996 vintage) being a bit of an old trouper - still going strong bar the strange squeaking from the motor...but it did that from the beginning anyway. I have mixed feelings about the later WM series...suspect it was the beginning of the end, somehow. At the time of their release I really didn't think much of them...but then again I was sick and tired of Hotpoint by 1997. Of course now I'd merrily have one of that range to replace the Miseryline 850 Minus...but enough about that!
