Total up your score and let's see if you're the Queen of the laundry pile.
0-10 : Typical user – You own a washer/dryer, probably a newer GE at that. You probably don't even care about sorting and you only use cold or warm water and the “Normal” cycle. When searching for a new washer, you look for the cheapest or whatever's on sale.
10-20 Power Washer – You care about your laundry. You will sort between colors and whites, although you still use warm/normal for everything. You might have sense enough to switch your Kenmore to Normal (slow/fast). If you don't know what that is, then drop down a notch.
20-30 Laundry Enthusiast – You love doing your laundry. You properly sort, wash, fold, and you use proper settings on your washing machine. You own a machine with lots of features, probably even a front loader. But your enthusiasm only takes you as far as Best Buy or Lowes. You're not in the vintage circle yet, but if you keep your Fisher & Paykel long enough, you'll have a classic on your hands.
30-40 Washer Queen – You're one of the many people who live in the past. You love vintage washers more than new ones. You crave the pulsing action of a Frigidaire or the soothing, hypnotic sounds of a belt-drive Kenmore. You may have a collection of machines or you might not have one. But you are an attendee at any of the wash-ins or club conventions.
40-50 LAUNDRY GEEK!!!! You're the man (or woman)! You live and breathe washing machines. Your basement is plumbed and wired for your huge collection and your garage is full of projects to come. You how to fix any and every type of machine. You search the junkyards, estate sales, and used appliance shops for that perfect machine. You probably own a record player, jukebox, old tv, vintage kitchen appliances, and vacuum cleaners. You're the epitome of geekdom. Receive your crown, present your best “Sheer Look” pose and join the washer elite. You have arrived.
