Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

OK well here is my score.

100% BUTCH!

OK Just kidding how about a 29, oops I missed the queen level. Oh well, come see me in person and you may change your mind!

Steve

43.

A few questions had to fudge a point, such as cleaning the dryer lint filter after each load because that's not necessary on my dryer, and using the correct water level and cycle when washing because my washer figures that automatically.

Or maybe 44, if I can get an extra point on question E4 because my washer can play music even though I don't listen while washing.

Power Washer's better than Typical User.

Again, so far, my mom is at the bottom of the chart (and losing points) and Robert Unimatic rules over her as the Laundry Queen of them all.

Everytime I find wet clothes in the closet, everytime she goes to the dryer to take clothes out before it's done, everytime she washes a small load on high speed and low water level, everytime she doesn't use ATC she sinks further and further and soon, she'll be in the negative numbers.

Hello? turn the heat down on the dryer, you don't need to bake the clothes! They won't shrink when you use Medium or Medium high. High is good for towels and washcloths. I love thick towels and they need alot of heat. Underwear, jeans, cotton stuff, medium high. MH is like a perfect balance between speed and gentleness. It just doesn't quite cut it with my big towels. Thin stuff, PP, wrinkle-free, medium. I don't have no delicate stuff so I've never used 'low' (exception, my old GE's "low" is like "medium" on a WP dryer and "high" was Dante's Inferno). But my mom's default cycle, HOT, timed cycle. AAARRRRRGGHHHHH!!!! It's a dryer, not a microwave.

Ugh, ranting again, oops.

Just took the test, I rate a 29. But I did cheat a little, becuase the last time I used Salvo was when I was a boy, but I still knew about it even then! I know how to do the "Sheer Look" too. Nep.

P.S. I like hearing about the other washers. It seemed like in the Pittsburgh area, there were only 2 brands of washers - Westinghouse and Sears Kenmore. The Westinghouse were mostly the top loaders.

Can you go below 0?

My mom just dropped through the floor.

She has a box of Tide, but when it got low, she emptied a box of Gain into it. So now it's Gide. Then I poured the last bit of Fabric softener that she put water in to get the rest out of the bottle so it was a weak formula of 90% water and 10% FS.

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

-10 : Laundry loser!

Oh dear!

Would a mom be a reverse laundry geek if she put Trend in the bath water for bubble bath? OUCH, those phosphates! LOL

On the bright side

Well, today I noticed she's drying the towels on high heat and More Dry. Could it be? She actually used Auto Moisture Sensing? I'd give her 10 points so she'd be back to 0 but as sure as I'm sitting here, she will stick her hand in there to see how dry the towels are without letting the cycle run its course.

Your mom's not the only one! Shortly after the wash-in when the Tide was about to run out, and we had a large unopened bag of Foca waiting, Mom got the bright idea to mix the two together in the detergent container.

Now you see why (with the exception of the visiting washer guys) only I'm allowed to touch the vast supply of detergents down in the shed...;-)

SACRELIGE!!!

OMG, Venus!!!!!! Of all people.

Tom better give you a good spanking from all of us for that. Applianceville den mother indeed. Impeachment trial to follow LOL.

BUT...

We love you anyway.
