Awesome video, Ben! Thanks for sharing.

To reveal my ignorance once again, what's that boxy doohickey over the fill flume on the Speed Queen? Detergent dispenser?

Yes the box on the Speed Queen is now the detergent dispenser, originally it was a softener dispenser, but the original owner had removed and lost the special tray that holds the softener inside the box until the solenoid trips it in the rinse cycle.

As for the Procter Sylex coffee pot if you want to start a thread about that in the Super Forum, I will provide full details.

Ok - I must be doing something wrong. I tried to save the video by right clicking, save target as, etc...., but when I go to my desktop to open, I get the "file cannot be found" message...

"It's like--Suds-lock THIS !! Quote from the video

Chorus:(to the tune of the old Sugar Crisp commercial)

"Can't get enough of that suds-lock THIS, suds-lock THIS, suds-lock THIS.

Love Gansky's Basilica better than my Holy of Holies

About the Super Unimatic. Is it the first machine in the row with that mint convex rim? The whole upper frame and lid is an architectural wonder. How and why did GM start then stop with a perforated tub? Who knows the story? How I'd love to hear it. Does it work like the early Maytags? So stuck in fascination by that first machine. Anything in the old threads about it?

Playing catch up here after a week, wow, lots to see and read. I could not get the video to work either? I just clicked on the link, nothing happened but the Q symbol for Quicktime... any ideas?
