OK, so I was dragged kicking and screaming (well, kicking, anyway) to see this movie yesterday. I wanted to take him to see 'An Inconvenient Truth' (since he's one of the few gay Democrats who hasn't seen it yet), but no, he wanted to see the just-released 'The Mostly Unfabulous...' You may know it from the gay comic strip in your local alt. paper.

I went in with low expectations, but I really enjoyed it! It's very much a no-budget indie film (bonus points, in my book) and while the Implausibility Meter does go DING-DING-DING-DING-DING on more than one occasion, there are many laughs. It's a movie that does a lot with what its given to work with. You will laugh frequently, I guarantee it. And there is plenty of eye candy. It is very gay-themed, so buyer beware.

If you live in/near Minneapolis, it's playing at the Lagoon Cinema in Uptown. And as the Twin Cities are one big steaming convection oven this weekend, it's a good way to do something but still be in a climate-controlled environment.

OMG

"Ethan Green" is the only "family" strip I like. It rotates with some of the others in Ohio's "Gay Peoples Chronicle." (The Chronicle does not run "Leonard and Larry.")

I did not know there was a movie being made. Too excellent!

I haven't seen "Inconvinent Truth,": either. Not playing nearby, and since I don't drive, I need a ride, and all those who might, have seen it already, or are not interested. (Yes, I do hang out with a few Republicans--just out of a desire for balance.)

Wow.

Wow, you guys are actually ahead of us on this one. Must be some sort of limited release or something, it's not listed in LA. Usually they come out ahead of the rest of the country here if anything. I'll definitely see it when it does come available. I haven't seen the Al Gore one yet either, but I'm really behind on movies just now.

"Another Gay Movie" started this week which should be a lot of fun. Not for everyone probably, but I like silly stuff. I have a straight Hispanic "F*g Hag" as I lovingly call him, that I'm going to see it with. It will be a lot of fun.

I just went to the film's official website and it is in limited release. There's a list of the cities/theaters where it's showing. In September, it's going to be on the gay 'Here!' network, for those of you who have DirecTV satellite service (the network is probably available on other satellite services, as well) and are willing to pay the extra monthly fee to get it.

I see it's playing at the Varsity Theater in Seattle (one of my favorite theaters there, along with the deco-centric Neptune) so all you Seattle boys can see it!

I wish it was getting more exposure. The number of people who get the Here! network is pretty limited. It's a funny, cute little film.
