Hey big blender....what'cha doin' tonight?

Very impressive - when size really matters, get an Electro Blender!

Is the jar the same size? Do you have a book for it? What are the motor stats?

Love the PILES of vintage audio - I see the Advents came down off the living room wall - or are these "new?"

Hi Ben

that you see is a G-8000 all restored and sounding terrific. The Marantz TT you guessed is a 6300 wonderful unit, direct drive!

The Marantz receiver is a prize from college, I worked 6 months in food service to buy that baby new and she has been with me since spring 1976!
My favorite unit!

Greg those are extre Advents I purchased 4 years ago they were too cheap to pass on so now there are four.

I didn't get the manual from the Electro Blender but I will check the HP when I get back up there.

PeteK now did you really want that dust collector???? duks and runs!

RCD it probably won't out chew that becuase Blend Tec et Vita Mix realized it was RPMs that mattered not HP this has HP but tops out around 7,000 RPMS so it is the Mother not the grandaughter of blenders.

I did see it but didn't bid either because people were bidding already or the seller only shipped to to the US. Can't remember which but I usually don't bid on anything if people are already bidding because normally I won't pay more than $20 for anything at all and on ebay it's worse cause then I have to pay for shipping on top so I buy little on Ebay unless it really grabs me.
The last blender I bought on ebay a few months ago was that little Oster Junior I'd never seen before. all plastic base and jar and even though it's called Junior it's not really any smaller than the metal beehive Osters. Plus it has a wagon wheel drive, very un-Oster like as well. It's also from about 1957. Must have been the budget model and you got the TOL model

Pete

I think that is the nicest little blender! 1957 must have been an odd year at Oster, designs that only lasted a season? And then they went back to the standard up to today.
I am surprised that unit has the wagon wheel drive I thought that was a 1960's innovation. Today they are going back to the steel block and calling it "all metal drive"!!

Rex: I was very surprised and found it by accident that the cutter assembly was entirely different. Even the blade lenght is longer than the regular models.
I am not in Melrose this weekend so I'll check the HP when I get back but I think it is around 800 watts.

Jon, what a fun blender, hope you will post a picture when you get the light working. That is one I have never seen before.

I purchased 4 years ago they were too cheap to pass on so n

Time to find a quadraphonic Marantz 4400 receiver to enjoy some 4 channel goodness.

Marantz receiver! Oster blenders too!

Nice Marantz Jetcone! My dad still has his '75 Marantz 2250 receiver and matching Imperial 8 speakers along with a Benjamin ELAC Miracord 660H turntable. Great audio equipment!

My aunt and uncle have the chrome version of your copper Oster blender. They got it as a wedding gift in '56 and it hasn't missed a beat...

Thank you Andrew

My Marantz is from college days and is still my favorite unit. Recently I did buy the TOL version 2325 and I use that a lot too. Marantz has a great sound always did!

I paired my receiver with Advent Large speakers in the walnut cabinet and I just reconed them. Sound great! Rocks the house down.

Louis I will get to those raspberries this week, its been a busy time taking in all those Stick Blenders!!!
