The new place - and a filled up basement!

On Sunday, I saw my next door neighbor out talking with another neighbor. I decided that I should go introduce myself and inquire about about trash day, some bushes, etc. They had mentioned the trailer full of washers, and asked what I was going to do with them. My counter question to Gladys (after explaining my hobby) was, Oh, so do you have any old washers or appliances in your basement?

Both the middle aged women stood there silent for a good 15 seconds.

This is going to get very interesting, to say the least ;-)

You should have told them that you remove the lids and use them as planters in the front yard. <grin>

You have your work cut out for you Ben, but this house has nice big rooms, lots of windows, and best of all, you can make it your own.

That house is going to be lovely. If you hate wallpaper, you should have seen what my first house looked like when I bought it - it was entirely full of hideous wallpaper.
