I feel thanks have to be presented on both threads ther was

Thank you to John E for all that hard, hard work you did, to John F for putting all those extra appliance hours after working with them all week long.

Thanks to Smitty for all those intimate squeezes! YEHAW!

Thanks to Jason for his ebullient self and Artey loved meeting Cindy!! (Even though John wasn't happy about the p-mail!)
Customer #59 was well serviced.

Thanks to Cal & Jeff for just being THEM! Hallalujah I am lucky to have them in my life!

Thanks to Greg for ordering the "The Table for One" and putting my bartending skills to their limit "shake/shake!" And yes there is LARD in YOUR future!

Terry I felt we were standing shoulder to shoulder together all week long, ready for the crowd!

Thanks to Gary for educating me in the ways of the Spin Dryer, Can't wait this weekend to try her out! And its always nice to hash over life with you!

Don, it was great to catch up again and thank you for showing me the "ways" of the i-Cult!!!

As always I am glad to have spent time with our hoarse yet ebullient Webmaster (my favorite competitor-collector and nemisis) Artey wants to come to Minnie Robert!
And as for Hooverwheelaway with the extra long handle well, all I can say is "nice fur!"

And lastly Thanks to everyone who took the time, effort and expense to attend this Wash IN.

I think it's clear the now the whole club would like to support and see another International event in the future.

My arms are starting to recover from all the Margaritas that went off the Bar all week long!

Jon the Partymeister

Well sir, you can certainly manage that liquor bar to ones favor. I'm not sure who should be recovering it, you or me?

I had a great time and it was great meeting you, enjoy the Easy!

This looks like the perfect place to spend a day or 2, until I found this site about a year ago I thought all my life (56 Now) that I was the only one with a Washer / Vacuum and gadget addiction I just wish my UK home was a bit bigger. I can see from the pics everyone had a fantastic time, O well its time to get my SEBO out and clean the place, with 2 dogs it’s a daily task.

Speed Queen twin tub - coppertone

Great little machine! Love mine. Notice this one has a 3rd dial (unlike mine), which leads me to believe it has a water heater like the U.K. versions --- is that the case?

BTW - I'm so jealous I couldn't make it - looks like a fantastic time was had by all - and great hosts!

SQ TWIN TUB WASHER

This one does not have a water heater, I wish it did. We saw very few washers of any kind in the US with water heaters built in. The three knobs on the washer control from L TO R washer drain pump, washer agitation timer, and on off switch for the spinner.

Speed Queen Controls

Brad, I took a few pics while I had the little brownie apart, here is a photo of the knobs. This is a 1-speed model and an earlier one at that, so my guess is your model omits the spinner knob and integrates the spin pump with the spinner lid switch. Your machine should have the wash drain knob and the timer knob next to it. This machine has a 3rd knob for the spin pump and spinner. When you turn it on, the spinner pump starts running and it allows the spinner to start. With it off, no power goes to either. It's a strange setup.

Here's the pic:

Like the Supertwin

As far as I know the Servis Supertwin (on which this machien is based) had a similar arrangement up until the last model where the left and centre buttons were combined.

On ours, with heater, the right hand knob positions were:
Off, Spin, Spin + Heat, Heat. I presume that the "spin" control was to allow for a soak rinse without lifting the lid - ChesterMike will be the authority on that point :)

While the later SQ models had a two speed motor, ours had an additional part to put over the agitaor for more vigorous washing.

Wow!!

I never realized how many handsome men are in our little group! I swear that I will someday soon make it to a wash-in. It would be so cool to meet all or at least some of you! Hey RevvinKevin, if you ever have a wash-in, let me know! It's easier for me to get to Long Beach lol!

I was the only one with a Washer / Vacuum and gadget addicti

I kind of giggle that after we all come-out about the FIRST "big thing" many of us have in common, we are still generally FLOORED that we get to come-out again. It all happens when we realize there is a community for THIS "nasty little affliction" too!

Perhaps it's all about attractions to big bad powerful white black, brown and yellow agitators!

LOL
