As Launderess pointed out in the other thread Finish have found another way to make us part with out money,
Now I was sceptical but as with all things I thought id give it a try,
I would advise you all to be sceptical too. Not the best product I have to say.
The packaging is misleading to start with. I bought mine for £6 which I didnt think was too bad but it is an irtoductory price.
The box does say that you get a 12wash Quantumatic dispenser and a 12wash Refill.
What they dont really make clear is the dispenser just really does dispense 12 washes and the 'Refill' in the pack is all you are getting in terms of the detergent.
I thought I was getting 24 washes for my money and I thought that was pricey enough let alone just 12!
Easy enough to set up and works actually quite well with a magnet inside the dispenser to rotate the cartridge when the unit is heated by the hot water in the dishwasher. As the dispenser cools down at the end of the cycle something else contracts and reveals part of the next measure.
The detergent does actually do a sterling job and has coped with all the tea/coffee stains I have thrown at it but I have yet to see if it likes starch.
My gripe is.... the dispenser is far from water tight and certainly not steam tight.
This has lead to the remaining detergent in the cartridge to become damp and to some degree party washed away after only 1 wash. Not much but enough to possibly worry about if you were to ignore it. the 10th - 12th wash could potentially have no detergent. Something il keep an eye on.
This coming from a manufacturer who released those Max in one tablets which stressed the importance of keeping the detergent well wrapped and FRESH while it was stored as stale detergent was really soooo bad!
Also I dont think PreWash cycles included in the actual wash helps either as half of it would be washed away for certain if the prewash had some degree of heat like my Indesit and Hotpoints do.
The pack does say not to use it in seperate Prewash or quickwash cycles eithr.
This is one product I really dont understand why its needed.
Takes up far too much space in the top rack and what with the cost and potential for inconsistant dosing and wash results probably have sealed its fate into failure and being discontinued.
