My grandmother's house has really nice matching 1960's appliances that the whole family is quite fond of. It appears we need a replacement (or repair) thermostat for her 1960 GE wall oven to restore this fine unit.
Model Number: J754T500
Serial Number: ZT05635
The existing thermostat is Hotpoint 276C926P16 (also has 604244 stamped on it).

Is there a modern / retrofit thermostat that will replace this old part number?
I find references to WB21X5209 (AP2023594) with adapter WB2x6957 but I'm unable to locate these. Everything on ebay looks junky. Is there a newer part#

Does anyone know if this would work?

GE ovens of this general vintage seem fairly abundant on craigslist these days.  You might get a whole oven for less than a new part that may require some finessing to retrofit, and if you have room, can keep it around for harvesting other parts if needed in the future.

Otherwise check ebay for the original part number.  It may eventually turn up.
