I just acquired a pair of Shure Vocal Master speaker columns! For you musicians out there, you know the old saying..."if you never sang through Vocal Masters, you weren't in a garage band." They are in remarkably good shape for being 33 years old, just needed a bit of cleaning up. I ran my Marantz M250 amp and 3600 preamp through them and the sound was nice! I picked them both up for $100.

Just wanted to share my good fortune.

Wow, those are bigguns!

Me, I still have the pair of Polk Audio 10's I got in 1979, and they are still great sounding speakers. It doesn't hurt they they have 3/4 amp quick blow fuses that have protected their integrity during more rambunctious parties ;-). They now form the core of a theater surround sound system in the living room.
