Interesting Things To Watch
One, will the Jackson family have tasteful and dignified services, or will the thing turn into a media circus with live feed video worldwide, with heavy fees attached of course.
Unless Mr. Jackson's will (or wills, as there are rumours more than one exsist), declares otherwise, a bulk of his estate naturally and legall will go to his direct heirs, the children. This is important as they are all still minors thus whomever is granted custody, probably may also be in line for substantial sums, and or could petition a court for sums. This is of course unless Mr. Jackson pulled an "Auntie Mame" where the children and funds are handled by different persons.
What will become of the Jackson family? Mr. Jackson senior was a smart businessman to be sure, but the highest grossing person in that family to date was Michael. Will be interesting to see who gets what in terms of bequests, as it will probably make a difference in many of the surviving family members lives. I mean one does not expect Mrs. Jackson to start taking in laundry, nor LaToya to start flipping hamburgers, but still.
What probably will happen will the same as many other famous person's estates, such as the recently deceased Yves Saint Laurent, the estate will have an auction. Michael aquired lots of, well "stuff" in his life much of it very expensive "junk", it has to go somewhere. There will also be death duties pay and judgements outstanding.
As for scandal and tittle-tattle, it is almost certian the floodgates will open. Already the family of the boy who was paid 15 million to settle a lawsuit is making noises. Then there are all those handlers, staff, and hangers on who have just lost a meal ticket. Decorum dictates such persons keep their mouths shut, but that won't put meat on their tables.
After Mr. Versace's murder a tell all scandal ridden book was written, and even made it to the publishers, where it sits today still, locked away. Apparently Donna Versace and the Versace family made serious threats (legal and perhaps otherwise), to the author and publisher, so that was the end of that.
