We all agree that your home is yours to do with as you please, and most agree that if you're blessed enough to live in a home of historical significance like an Eichler, you should also show a little respect for both the neighborhood and the history and heritage of said house.

This is advertised on VRBO as a "Beautiful Resort-like Eichler Home", though "Used To Be an Eichler Home" would be more appropriate.

Sometime in its dark past, something happened to the wall of glass, either accidentally or deliberately.  The fix or conversion would not have pleased Joe Eichler nor the architect hired by Mr. E.

Oh, and overpriced as many better-preserved Eichlers rent for as little as $200.00 a night.

I like it.

At least they didn't add on a dormer or full second story turning it into a cape cod or colonial.
It's in Cali, it has a nice pool.
You have to be weary of who you rent to via air bnb, etc. these days, given recent events, etc.
There is a Hebrew saying; "tikkun olma" which means heal the world, people, etc.
Funny the things you can learn about watching "Comic's in cars getting coffee", etc.

It might be a "Likeler" and not a very good one . .

When people shop for an Eichler to rent, they want to see the wall of glass, the courtyard/atrium and the wide open spaces.  There are no photos of those features in the listing.

Highly suspect.

Ow.  Gave myself a cramp raising an eyebrow.

Yes, and the

kvetch o meter seems to be near the redline Turbomatic Tom. If you do an enema with that hose, that pool will need shocking.
Shock and awe, no? Always a good sell.

Yes, in which case,

eeeewwwhhhh, prolapse.
Although, it may have a fill diverter valve in the system. If the pool uses salt water filtering and not bromine or chlorine, the design is a bit different. The fresh fill water may first enter the salinator.
It is by far the easiest to maintain. Alkilinity and PH balance as well.
When inbalanced alkiline or ph is in a chlorinated pool, the water will leech calcium from the gunite walls to balance. That can result in cracking.
