The gold

So there are no original golden agitators, unless we all start chain smoking ciggies again? How nuts is this: the most beautiful pulsator is a tobacco side effect!

EDIT: I forgot, Louis: your Hamburger made my belly wiggle.

video... oh Boston, not Schenctady... bummer! I think I knew that but forgot :-( .... Oh wait, I have an Aunt in Lexington and cousin in Concord, as my Mom & Dad both came from Melrose! Boston could be do-able :-))
That pair would have to be at the VERY top of my dream machine list!

You should have seen the rest of the house. Yes there was that much nicotine everywhere, she smoked to death. Her husband died in WWII and she never remarried or had children, that's why these are such low use machines. I'll put up a picture of just how much lint I cleaned out of the dryer, and BTW these dryers are famous for collecting lint. She did "undies in sundies" only!

She had a nephew and a niece who cared for her and inherited the estate. When I came on the scene it looked as if the investment guy had run off with the cash and the estate was strapped. So they took my offer gladly, what was nice was after I got there it turned out the investment guy did not run off with the cash so the nephew and niece got it and the house was sold just after I left. The house was a complete gut or better tear down. The white walls were the color of the agitator!! My friend Phyllis had to step outside for air frequently!

OMG, I've fixed/flipped many homes that were smoke houses, but that's the living (or should I say dying) end! Wow, amazing what cigarettes can do to a house, let alone a washing machine. Who would have thunk! Thanks for the answer and enjoy those glorious machines!

Smoke Gets In Your Eyes...

and on the chrome and steel... and yes, in collecting old radios and hi-fis I've found that nicotine oil does seem to have some kind of preservative effect when it coats the metal... strange and gross but true.
