thermador

never seen one as old as those pictured, but in 1987 fetched a 1978
thermador built in out of a dumpster to examine and strip for parts
it had stainless steel interior and an axial flow pump kinda like that of
a mid-'60s GE(axial flow pumps are usually loud)

Oh, wow!

THAT is gorgeous.

I LOVE the TwirlieSticks wash-arm configuration. How novel! Kind of like the Waste King design, but more elegant. Less in the way--plus filtration!

D&M design

As I remember... era 1970's....it had a roto-rack... in.. I believe minty green.
In high school I was dating a girl whose parents had just remodled the kitchen.
They had this machine, the handle would twist to lock.
I don't remember if it had a wash arm on the bottom...anyone know?

REAL THERMADOR DISHWASHERS

We have that exact DW at our museum it even has the same wood paneled front I think. This machine was built before Thermador and Wasteking merged and has no similarly with the later WK built TD DWs. It did have a horizontal 1/3 HP motor the main pump was on one end and the drain pump was on the other. Gorman-Rupp built the pumps GE made the motors, it was a very quiet machine.

Caloric!

Thanks for posting, I think this was only a bottom spray model as this one I don't think had a middle spray. I dont think this was a roto rack but maybe I'm incorrect.
