Check out this link for a aftermarket cheap Viking dishwasher motor.I have never seen a Home dishwasher with one this large it looks bigger than a old Kitchenaid. Now that I am getting my New Maytag installed today I have that G.E. Monogram and I am going to play with it I think.I wonder what it would do with this attached to it,I have took off the water restrictor that is on the side of it so it won't starve it and I am going to change out the arms to either the ones that are like on Smeg dishwashers or I am going to order a Orbital wash arm for it.I am wondering which would be better?I thought about using a old 1999 Maytag Tower that had that bobble thing on top if I went with the Orbital wash arm.. That motor looks huge,I don't get why they have such terrible reviews for the dishwashers with a huge motor like that, you can tell that is just a single high speed induction motor,,,well I think it is...

That pump/motor assembley looks a lot like the Dishlex Pumps that were used here in a domestic brand between about 1978 and 1995.

Its unusual to see a motor that large these days :)

LOL,,,LOOK at those field magnets there twice the size as Whirlpool. That is a 1/2 H.P. motor and trust me I have thought about putting a commercial dishwasher motor in mine but they all are 3Ph and I don't like those converters  but I think your like me if you don't here pans being thrown over then your not happy.I still remember the Hurricane in a box I saw when I was very young those were the good days..My Mom and Dad took me to the Maytag/Kitchenaid dealer but he was PRO Maytag. We got a Maytag reverse rack dishwasher . I wanted the Kitchenaid but was shot down on that by that guy taking a ruler and showing how the Maytag was a in deeper. That Maytag was LOUD and I mean 747 loud and washed the hell out of dishes I admit that and even though the racks were odd I could get alot in it but I wanted the Kitchenaid because of my early fascination with disposers and anything that had a motor.

New Vicking DW Main motor

Maybe I can't tell by the picture but it doesn't look big to me LOL. It would be interesting if we could get a close-up of the model tag and the amps and Speed ratings etc, or measure how thick the stator actually is. It is an Emerson motor.
