Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Another clue that this is not a quality purchase is those builder-grade cabinets. Those are the ones my house came with (and are STILL there) ....so don't anyone get offended, please!

Sady this POS DW probably does a better job than my tall-tub KA! BTW=> I bypassed the door safety-switch and ran the KA machine with the door open. You guys were NOT kidding when you said it is barely a P*$$ stream of water. The water spray barely exited the machine. Sad. So sad.

Not so Superba-------

I could not belive that!!! But then again, someone may be fool enough to pay that, but somehow I kind of don't think so.BTW, is the shipping right? That is alot of money for something that is not that special in the first place, and then all of that shipping on top of that. That does not include having it hooked up. I noticed the cabnets Tog, and no, they were, as to be expected sadly, nothing special. I like my old vintage KA.<-------that is a dishwasher!!

wow! maybe it is true about the low pressure. that's a shame and a sham. they must've done it to keep them quiet....so stupid.

so is the pressure even high enough to make the water Fan out on the hydro-sweep rotor jets?

PS

back a few years when we got our Triton XL, i tried to run it with the door open too.
Now GE has reduced their water pressure too, but needless to say, running the XL with the door open was a DISASTER, and i was sorry for doing it when i had to mop up, floor to ceiling, a 5ft. radius around the machine; as well as change my clothes.

i never did that again.

kept quiet

I have kept quiet about the showers of power for the last few weeks, but must add - my Miele is also very stingy with water, sprays very delicately - but still got the highest rating for cleaning and water and energy use the consumer's guide (Stiftung Warentest) gives over here.
It certainly isn't as weak as what you are describing, but there is no doubt that it is the heat, time and enzymes in the detergent (which Miele insists upon, no "traditional" detergents) which do the cleaning.
As long as the water spray reaches everything in the machine there is no need for it to be especially strong. And mine cleans right into the very corners.
This is not a defence of modern KA dishwashers - they are indefensible from all I have read - but a thought on the subject.

And a piece of the puzzle

just slotted into place!

I had wondered why GE was "strongly suggesting" the use of Cascade Complete.

It's because of the enzymes!

Thank you for the insight, Keven!

Sometimes I wonder if sellers see it this way: I'll put a ridiculously overinflated price on this item. There's probably some fool out there who will take the bait....
If not, a price more in line with sanity could be attached to it and the item put up for sale once again.

yes, many more manufacturers, including GE are recommending Cascade Complete. However, this is interesting. In the manual for GE's SmartDispense machines, they DO NOT recommend liquid Cascade Complete for the automatic dispenser.

I wonder why?

wow, that's pathetic.........someone could catch them on the whole "Hydrosweep" thing. Since one of the characteristics of Hydrosweep is the two perpendicular fanned out walls of water.

There is a "Make offer" option on this item, and two have been made so far. You can go down on the price, but you cannot go up. The seller will probably not get the asking price, but I suspect will give a "Second Chance" to the highest offer. That is, if it was a decent offer. This is probably also one of those things where one will sell if he/she can get the price he/she wants, otherwise he/she would just as soon hang on to it.
