As most of you know, I recently acquired the Thor Automagic that was located in Rhode Island. When I acquired the machine, the motor would turn on and the pulley would turn. However, the transmission seemed to be frozen as nothing else would happen.
Not really having a lot of time to work on the machine, it has sat in my basement since acquiring it. I have occasionally looked at it to try to get it going, but no major work on it.
The other day I started to notice a strong smell of oil in my basement. It seems my Thor has decided to let go of a tremendous amount of clear, very pungent oil on the floor in the basement. Is this from the transmission? What should my next step be with this machine, shy of sending it to the scrapper and cutting my losses?
Any input would be helpful.
