Who turned the animals loose?

I must admit, keeping up with cub was trying for an old guy. This was my first, real, all day on the go since surgery and I think I'll let that be my excuse. We left at 9:30 and got home at 6:00 PM. The kitchen is thrashed, the dining room table covered, never made the bed this morning and the vacuum stands in the living room. I am going to have it all done by bed time along with the five loads of laundry lying by the Maytag. I'm heading out tomorrow evening for the holidays and I am about 4 days behind. We zoomed through King, Piece and a touch of Snohomish county on a swing of junk stores only a junky would know. We did see a lot of junk but managed to come home with a trunk full for under $20.00. That made it all worth the hunt. I also got Charles to take a Sunbeam Blender and handmixer so a tiny corner on the shelf has been freed for the next great find.

Nice finds, Value Village is one of my favorite haunts.
The Jet-Flo bags are readily available at many many stores, it uses both U3 as well as U6 bags. Very good vacuums, one of my favorites, I have about 10 different versions of it LOL
Try hard not to run over the cord because they are notorious for grabbing the cord around the brushroll and stripping the rubber off. You can get a hose/wands and tools for it as well. They still make the similar machine to that one you have there.

You needed to spend some time helping Kelly tidy up after your visit.
Just 'cause he enjoys the pleasure of your company doesn't mean you can't offer some assistance.

Because I'm in the 'States during two big queenly events every year (Old Timer Rally and Oktoberfest) lots of Euroqueens and American friends stay at my flat.

Never once, in all these years, have I had to so much as empty a trash can when I got back home. No smoking in the place ('cause I can't stand smoke and anybody who knows European Queens knows that you can't barely be gay unless you're a chain smoker, dahlink.)
Bed sheets washed, pressed, folded and put away (more than I bother doing...my version of permanent press is: wash, dry, put back on bed).
Whole place is vacuumed within an inch of its life, loose change from under the sofa cushions stacked in a jar...

I don't drink, but keep some decent wines and spirits on hand for those who do, everything always replenished and beer updated in the fridge as well as anything used replaced, anything broken replaced or money left (and twice, now, stuff that got broken by the first group was replaced with the money they left behind by the second group from America, now that is the type of guests you really want.)

If my friends, and I think we're all agreed I am not the typical anal-retentive queen, can manage it, you can, too.

Sorry for speaking so strongly here, but you need to be more than just a cub.

Invitation

Thank you for the support Kevin. I know as my friend you offer as support and love. I didn't ask Charles to help and I am quite sure he would. In all truthfulness, I didn't honestly assess the mess until after he left. The 5 days prior, my son and daughter in law stayed so some of it was a mess in making and not having enough time to anal retent my way to never letting anyone see anything out of place.

Well, Honey...

It's easy to offer support when you're nine timelines removed...
Talk, as they say, is cheap.

But you don't know how much effort (and money) goes into hosting someone unless it is mentioned to you at some point.

Figured it needed mentioning.

When I first came to Europe, I stayed with friends of friends and distant relations. Some pretty upscale places, I wish my dad's dad had passed on the fancy title and taken the money...but, anyway, one thing I noticed was, the really well-bred people are the ones who never ran around naked in front of the servants (it offended their conservative tastes and servants are frequently conservative) and never tossed their clothes on the floor.
They also said "please" and "thank-you".

Not that I have any servants, I'm my cats' slave.

Kevin
I very well would have offerd.. However, I know kelly has just undergone surgury and house guests prior to my arrival..And last night the poor guy was quite tired...

Also don't forget some people prefer to keep there house there own way and when one helps, well it fouls them up..

LoL, I did vaccume his living room Floor with the Panasonic Jet Flow..

I can tell that Kelly keeps a very tidy home and if asked or directed would have been happy to help.. Always am.. But just knew he was tired and ready to relax abit and would asses and clean once he had time.. I think for Kelly (and you can correct me if i am wrong) its very relaxing and way to wind down to clean, bake and keep house..

Who doesnt love to clean here? LoL..

Hugs to all.. And a big thank you again kelly.. The visit was great and if you need anything you have my number..

Clean it is

I find the process of cleaning and restoration soothing. I am unhinged if I am caught with my vacuum down. Too many childhood traumas of poor white trash makes me fearful of ever letting go afraid I turn out like them. I am more than tired, perhaps exhausted but I have all day so I can move slow and leave early in the am.

Travlincub,

I'm glad to hear it. Kelly is an old school host who would rather put himself back in the hospital than ask a guest to lift a finger
Not like me.
I've never turned down an offer to clean my place up, I was out having fun the day the gay gene for neatness got passed out.
