Sorry for short notice, just saw it myself. George Lucas' first theatrical film THX1138 is on Turner Classic @ 9:45 central tonight/Saturday 11/21.
Warner wasn't thrilled: "What the blazes is THIS?" and didn't distribute or promote it widely. If they had only known.
As long as there was Betamax I had a custom transfer of the original. Doesn't come across well on an RCA film chain auto-iris, so I turned that off and did it myself. Then failed to see the demise of Beta coming. "How dare they?"
For those who remember it, it won't be quite the same. Lucas has "original-visioned" it like he did with Star Wars, then absconded with all distribution of the orignal. Booo.
For Lucas followers, you'll see the seeds of his later work. For those who "fmeh", understood.
