Tide/Ace

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I can never get a pic posted the first time... and now this thing is making me mad. Forget it. I bought some ACE Detergent tonight - same thing as Tide, even smells the same.

In Puerto Rico?

Cool. What's your take on the Ariel Color powder and liquid they sell there? The packaging has a white background...

I've always wondered why these products cannot be found on any of P&G's websites...

The Ariel (green box) used to be sold up here, but is no more.

You just gotta look hard enough.

Ariel. On a P&G website.

Hope you are feeling better. How is the hearing coming along?
That Ace powder with lime scent is AMAZING! Venus sent me a few bags and I just love it. We can get Ace in the box here in Florida. We also have Ace with Bleach in the box. I sent it out to Venus and Austin. It is just like Tide w/Bleach.if you would like some email me and let me know.

Take care

Right side still CHS. :-( But getting accustomed to the situation.

I like sheets/bedding & towels scented, so tend to use the Lime In The Ace on those loads, along with some ilk of Lavender/Vanilla softener. Aroma Therapy!

Si en Puerto Rico

I was able to pick this up at Pueblo Supermarkets here in P.R. - They have both ACE and TIDE and sell them right beside each other. I'll try to get a pic of the detergent aisle while I am here.

I have purchased teh Ariel Color but found it to be no different than our current version of Cheer. I purchased the powder as it is a preference of mine.

You can also get rose-scented Vel here. I always pick some of that up for my Grandmother.

I have seen no lime-scented versions of TIDE here. I have seen bagged TIDE in Memphis that was lemon-scented. It was an Asian product.

oh gawd!

"Rose scented" Vel Dishwashing liquid? My grandmother used that when I was a child. I didn't even know they still made it. Would love to get my hands on some of that!

For some reason, all versions of Ariel (even the blue bags) have vanished from our dollar stores and Spanish corner shops.

The only thing consistently available is the Chinese Tide.

If it was the phoshpated Ariel we are speaking of, yes that stuff is hard to find and for a good reason. NYS and others states have banned all phosphates from laundry products, even commercial ones. Stores can get into trouble if the EPA is tipped off. Being as all this may, K-Sears had agood stock of Mexican detergents last time I checked. The usual suspects, Foca, Roma, Ariel etc; not sure if any contained phosphates though.

The above ban is why many products that contained phosphates but just weren't sold/shipped to various states have simply been withdrawn from the market. Amway's "Smashing White" was the latest example.

As for the Amercian Ariel that appeared in the States briefly awhile back, can't say I miss the stuff. Damn scent gave me migraines. Even when encased in two thick bin liners, the scent wafted through the house. Finally chucked the lot into the rubbish.
