Tide Oxi/Tide w/bleach (powder)

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Personally, I think Tide with Bleach. I'm trying to get through a bottle of Tide Ultra Oxi and I find it abysmal. I wasn't able to get Target to delier a bottle of Tide Ultra Stain Release which I felt was amazing. So I got a box of Tide With Bleach Alternative powd3er and it's far better, comparable to the Tide Ultra Stain Releasee Liquid. I'd like to try Tide Ultra Oxi powder but I don't have it available to me in my market otther than shipping.

Other people still like powdered detergent?

I thought I was the lone ranger on that one. I was using pods for a while but they were leaving white blotches on clothes, no matter how closely I followed loading/dosing instructions. Tide powder is great, but I'm finding I'm not a giant fan of the Arm & Hammer powder I'm currently using. It doesn't work as well and it leaves a weird dust all over the top of the washer and dryer, something Tide doesn't seem to do. But I got it because it was on sale recently at Kroger. As soon as it's gone though, never buying A&H again.

For me it's pretty much Tide with Bleach Powder (since they once again changed the fragrance). I used it for many years with its original scent. Then they changed to something pretty awful so I switched to Persil Powder and Persil Liquid. But now I'm back as the Persil Powder no longer exists in the US and the liquid is way too strongly scented.

I use many different detergents depending on what the need is for the load of clothes.
My first exposure to detergents with an oxygen bleach additive was Tide with Bleach on Martin's recommendation. I think it does a great job.

Recently, I purchased a bag of the Ariel Oxi and it seems to do just fine for about half the price of the Tide product. I have the old classic machines that rinse well so the perfume and sudz are not an issue. I regularly use Ariel in my old Kenmores without fear of sudz-locking.
I do think using it in a newer front-loader will require careful dosing.

Ariel Oxi

Along with rest of that lot from Mexico is P&G's offering of "Tide" which is only sold in USA and Canada.

Thus while you won't find Tide south of boarder, Ariel is P&G's top shelf laundry product.

It's pretty much same in UK and Europe where P&G has Ariel as their top laundry detergent brand, again but you won't find Tide. Though IIRC there was a bit of time when Tide was sold across the pond, but it was many years ago now.
