Tide With Bleach Alternative is Back?

Saw a commercial today for Tide with Bleach Alternative and at the end the announcer cut in with "Tide with Bleach Alternative is back". Was it on vacation? Or did P&G determine that the whole Tide Vivid, etc... naming was not working and went back to the original appelation? Went to the Tide website today also and it appears that is what is happening. Anyone know anything on this?

You guessed it! Too many people weren't happy with the name change and griped about have too many choices to pick from. Their marketing strategy backfired and they decided to go back to what worked before.

"Tide with Bleach Alternative is back".

It never left. P&G rebranded the stuff "Tide with Vivid" which drove many consumers livid, so just like Coca-Cola the original is back.

Apparently, one of the bright sparks in marketing at P&G found it difficult to spit out "Tide Ultra Plus Bleach Vivid White + Bright Clean Breeze" after the third luncheon martini.
