Hi everyone......i have a problem that hopefully the laundry wizards can help me with. I was putting in a new sprinkler system for the flower beds and got Tiger Lilly powder/pollen etc. all over the front of my jeans. i can't get the yellow stain (ok no comments on that one) to come out. I have tried Carbona, Wisk, Shout, Dawn and even soaking the area in ammonia.........At first i pre-treated with Carbona stain fighter and used Sear HE detergent and warm water....stain didn't come out.....then tried the wisk, shout, dawn and soaking in ammonia.......Anyone have a suggestion on how to get the Tiger Lilly stain to come out? Thanks for the help guys........

Oxy Clean

Try washing them with the recommended amount of Oxy Clean added to the wash. If that doesn't get it all, use a paste of Oxy Clean and water on the spot, let sit overnight, and then wash again. There may be some lightening of the area, but it's better than having a yellow stain in that region.

Should work. One tip for avoiding this in the future- the pollen brushes off pretty successfully when it's still dry. Putting water on it makes things much worse.

If you still can't get the stain off, try this:

Soak the jeans overnight in a bathtub full of Oxi-Clean and Tide.
If it still doesn't work, just dry the jeans either dark blue or black. Nobody will ever know.....

Thanks Whirlcool, this wouldn't have been a problem but it was 95 degrees out and of course I was sweaty and my jeans damp.......so naturally the pollen glued it to my jeans..teaches me to work outside in a good pair of jeans....I will give the Oxy Clean a try and hopefully that will take care of it......
