Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Cold Shoulder

The dishwasher has been moved to the left of the sink, a new cabinet added over head and the refrigerator shifted to the left. It is a vintage Frigidaire all refrigerator with a tiny cube freezer in the bottom right corner with an ice maker. 20 cubic feet of refrigerator is pretty cool. The Maytag reverse rack belt drive dishwasher is a gift from Patrick in Oregon.

Moving on Down the Line

A new cabinet has been added to the right of the sink and a lazy susan in the corner. There are new solid surface counter tops with backsplash arriving for installation tomorrow. A filler for the base cabinet and the toe kick goes in tomorrow as well.

Big Windy

The stove moved to the left and new cabinets above and below have gone in to the right. I got a great new super power hood fan for free because it was dented. I'll ask a body fender guy if there are any tricks for straightening the dents. We may think up a trim package to cover the edges.

From Afar

Standing back and not pointing out what remains to finish the job it looks pretty good.

Eaten Alive

I bought a new batch feed ISE Evolutions disposal. I had a heck of time finding it and it took a while to figure out they are now called Cover Control. True Value was closing them out and I got one of the remaining two left in the warehouse. I also added an ISE hot water dispenser for the Ornamental in my life that likes tea and only drinks boiled water. Old phobias die hard.

Your kitchen looked good before but now it's even more useful.  Some times it takes living wiht something for a while to tweak it to perfection.  I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many years to come.

It looks like a handy layout, with lots of counter space for cooling cookies as they come out of the oven.

That Settles That

Ben, you have idea how nice is to look across at all that clean-ness. The flow is much better and the island will get topped with the same material and we'll make room at the end for 4 stools. The Habitat build is on hold until weather gets better so the new kitchen is waiting for a "real" initiation. Our realtor has gifted me with two ladies for 4 hours to go though the house and do construction clean up. It doesn't look bad but there's dust everywhere. All the kids, plus my daughter in law and one of the grandkids have March birthdays. They'll be home the week end of St Patricks Day. Its nice not worry about cleaning or freshening their rooms before they get here.

My, what a great "working" kitchen you have there. Love the kitchen sink - looks familiar :-) I hadn't noticed the dark painted ceilings before, I like that look a lot.

A neighbor of my grandmother had a Coronado branded all-refrigerator like yours, I always thought that was a spectacular idea. Rob (lockringrob) posted some pictures of their new kitchen a few weeks ago and they put in the Frigidaire all-refrigerator & freezer with the build-in kit, wish I had the space!

It is coming along great Kelly! Congratulations! It looks beautiful, and S P A C I O U S Which is great for a guy that loves to cook! <:

Agree on the all fridges, we have a new Frigidaire model in the kitchen but it doesn't have any freezer capabilities. A small shoebox sized area for ice would be nice but can't complain, the freezers not that far away.

Ole Beady Eyes

The ceiling and walls in the great room have bead board stained dark and finished with urethan. The walls are wood 52 inches up and topped with a plate rail. Off in the yonder you can see the wood behind the range,

Plagurism

I saw a similar presentation at the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody. Their's was flawless and mine a little more homespun. After experimenting with finish and stain the ceiling and walls came along. I had cups full of stain in my ears before it was over. The first wall color was too dark so I ragged over it with a lighter tone that turned out pretty well.

Kelly

I think your kitchen looks fantastic. I like the way you have incorporated the beautiful elements of what is new and the beautiful elements of what is vintage into a very tasteful design. It shows you put some real thought into the remodel. Your kitchen looks like a very inviting place to hang out and relax in as does your living/family room, may you enjoy both for a long time to come.....PAT COFFEY

Kelly!

Everything looks great! No doubt you're feeling a strong sense of satisfaction with what has been accomplished.

I hate to paint, and can't even imagine having the patience for applying it with a rag. I'll stick to small things like clocks! BTW, in looking for your piano clock, I was trying to find one with a finish that would match the piano as well as a style and presence that would coordinate with the room's theme and decor. Going by the pictures you have posted of the room, it looks like I came pretty close, and I am glad you're happy with it.
