Well I was scrounging for a stick blender back in February to take down to the Cape for the summer, and came up empty handed! To my surprise!
25 Years ago I had a collection of stick blenders but in the ensuing 25 years I ended up giving them all away to people who begged me for them.
I had none left for my use!
So April being my B month I decicded to rectify this situation permanently! And so...............................

CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE, NO FACE ME PLEASE!

Martin

if its on your counter don't you find yourself using it?
I put one on the counter 25 years ago as a display piece and then before I knew it ( maybe because I worked in the restaurant biz) but beofore I knew it I was using it for salad dressings, pancake batters, scrambled eggs, milkshakes obviously. It got a real workout to the point I was using it more than my Cuisineart.

there's something about

do tell us more Jon!!LOL What a fun collection Jon!! What's your favorite thing to mix up with these?

What a collection you have!

Wow! I am amazed!
You kitchen looks great also!
What is the "modern" dishwasher you have under your Radarange?

Jon-

"MMA?"

"Massachusetts Man Authority?"

"Massachusetts Millonaires Association?"

Nice collection, too.

Got it at a thift store for $3.00....liked the old time look..and just put it on display...along with a vintage old crome toaster...pink mixmaster...and numerous types of coffee makers...which I switch around to change the look....

but I never really thought about using these ones everyday...they do work...hate to get them dirty...so I pull my new ones out from under the counter...quick clean up and my kitchen never looks like it's been used...my house was owned by a professional chef...and so the kitchen was designed around him.....stainless steel professional appliances, convection air-dual fuel-range, double dishwasher, convection microhood, but I was suprised that the fridge was only an amana bottom freezer..not a subzero...but there is a side by side full fridge and full freezer in the pantry...odd...but still beautiful

Thank you Toggles

that was very touching. (you get 10 bonus points!)

Actually I was saying MMA="Milkshake Mixers Anonymous" But those are even better acronyms you guys came up with.

Terry I use mine for everything liquid, sometimes you can even whip cream in them! Fresh quick salad dressing is the easiest.

Brent, the DW under the Radarange is a new KitchenAid Superba its about 7 years old, the last year before the tall tub disasters came out. It is one swift dishwasher, it cleans as well as my 61 KDS-14. I covered just about every appliance in copper as its my favorite metal.
---back to ebay --- ohhh i better call MMA to stop me.

Perhaps the cups exist, but the long, thin rigid piece needed to be shown.

And what a better audience than this one!

Jon, I have never had one of these either but I can see where they would be perfect for salad dressing.

Wow they look nice altogether.. You would think I would have one seeing as I have so many mixers and blenders but I don't. One has never come up in my haunts and I've never bid on Ebay for one.. Any Multi-mixers in your house?

That Meyers Bullet Mixer Greg has is a real beauty!! I know one of these days you will get to the bottom of its "shocking" problem!!

Oh Greg

that has the original MYERS cup, patented 1938! Nice unit! I am in love with MYERS BULLET MIXERS! You'll need to sell that unit since its such a danger to Skyler!
Does yours work even with the electrification?

You might want to check the brush caps:

These mixers are alittle different the way the brushes work. These use flat end brush springs which must be held down against the bronze brush holders by ALL plastic caps. Power is transferred from the brush holders across the end brush springs, down the sping to the brush.
Make sure someone hasn't replaced your brush caps with ones with metal inserts, MYERS had ALL plastic caps to act as insulators from the brush frame.
Otherwise you will transfer the power in the brushes to the chrome frame of the unit and get a shock.

If they did stick KA or HB or SUNBEAM caps on then take them off and get some NYLON nuts as a temporary substitute until you can order some new MYERS brush caps.

My absolute favorite

has been the OSTER. I never knew anyone else made stick blenders besides HB. The OSTER is larger and more powerful than the HB. Then I found the Stafford from Canada, made after the war with all aluminum construction, you know melted down Nazi planes and all.

Then I foung the Machine Craft made in LA because they counldn't afford the freight from Racine WIS!!

THEN THEN I FOUND THE MYERS just as big as the OSTER and just as powerful.

The MYERS might end up squeezing out the OSTER someday.
