Got my shipment of Tru Tone LED C7 lights.  Last year I waited too long and many options were sold out. This year got some great vintage colors.

Just a quick thanks to those here that turned me on to these great bulbs.  Last year I picked up about 150 for my big tree, added 50 more this year.  Really indistinguishable for standard incandescent. Huge energy saving for me too.

BTW last year I ordered some cheaper ones from AZ, you can really see the difference...

Waiting for my shipment of c9's to arrive any day now. I ordered a box of 25 classic 's and 5 extra's for breakage and then realized I use TWO string to outline the garage roof. Oh well, 1/2 and 1/2 this year lol

Of course I reuse my lights.  On my 2 smaller trees I use miniature lights that are 40+years old. They have 10" spacing that is impossible to find easily today.

I'm just replacing incandescent C7s that I use on my big tree. I put about 225 lights on the tree, with the old C7s I was pulling 1500 watts +.  The tree was a space-heater, had to split it oven 2 circuits and only lit it for a few hours each day. Now it pulls about 100 watts total and minimal heat to boot as well. I also put a candle in each window and by replacing them with LED I went from 220 watts to 15watts, big savings again. Now the windows are lit dusk to dawn. My electric rate have gone up 50% over the past few years, this way I can still decorate as I always have.
