Jeff...

Thanks for the heads up about Fresh Start. We don't have it here in SF, or at least I haven't seen it anywhere. Remind me to get some in Omaha.

Oh Greg!!!

I just love your stash! Thanks for posting it!..Don't you just love Fresh Start?? I also love the Vintage Final Touch bottle you have hiding behind the Clorox and Spray and Wash..That should be front and center!! (LOL)..Have you ever tried the new Final Touch? It is quite good! Jeff P and Venus use it as well. Thanks Again!!

Greg, don't take this the wrong way . . .

but I would LOVE to sniff your stash! Oh how I vividly remember the scents of vintage Oxydol, Wisk, Fresh Start, Cheer, Fab and of course the vintage FINAL TOUCH! I would be in Heaven!!!!

Gansky!!!!

I don't know what to say!!!!! WOW!!! I have never seen that many different kinds of laundry detergent before without being in a store......even then....they might not come close!!!! LOL WOW!!!

sudshane......Jeff has me hooked on Final touch now too. It smells wonderful (reminds me of him...his "smell") it works well for the clothes as well.

since i had a mishap with liquid fabric softner, i stopped using it....Jeff then got me "the ball" and i tried it and it works well....i will use it until it gives me problems but the new 806's that Jeff has in my basement work very well distributing the liquid.....no longer worried about it.

Hi guys
Here’s my stash, not too big but still, a few good ones in the mix.

Drive: Possibly my favorite detergent, both the liquid and the powder versions do a fantastic job and they are lightly scented with a nice vintage scent. I tend to prefer the liquid as we wash a lot of colors but the powder is fantastic on whites. The Matic version also does a great job, it was then only thing I would put in my Whirlpool FL .

Dynamo: Second favorite at the moment. I love the scent of this stuff, especially on hot washes. One thing is the top loader liquid (that I have) is very high sudsing, we could not use it in our little Hitachi machines because 8 times out of 10 it would create a suds lock. Still great at getting those stains out 

Fluffy and Cuddly Ultra (the little softeners): These are the main brands of softener in Australia. These new ‘Ultra’ bottles are a new line, its basically super concentrated so you only need a small amount and these little bottles last as long as the big 2 litre bottles. These little bottles are handier and cheaper than the big bottles. My favorite fragrance is Fluffy Summer Breeze (yellow bottle), this teamed up with Drive makes for one great scented wash!

Sard Wonder Soaker: Just the soaking agent we are using at the moment, not the one I would have chosen but it still works fine, the citrus scent clashes with the scent of my detergents and softeners tho.

The British Easy Iron softeners: I didn’t purchase these and god knows what possessed ‘that’ person to buy them. They don’t have a nice fragrance and are very thick.

That’s ma stash folks!

WOW!!!!!

Great collection guys!

Ok heres mine and Mums combined, everything except the Dylon Colour and Protect (which is shite), UK Ariel Sensitive tabs and The Wash Additives Ace and Stain Devils and Vanish (Which Ironically Mum uses with own label and Ariel brands......) is mine.

Cant believe 12 months ago putting a box of Bold in the trolley would make me feel sick to the point of putting it back on the shelf I have actually tried it. First time I ever will and the last time but heres to trying.

Peach colour and blue colour Ariel tabs are the French versions.... Radiant is Autralian and the rest are UK.

For those who MUST KNOW LOL! The washer is on a 40c Cottons Cycle with my work shirts and jeans using the Dylon Colour stuff. No suds no cleaning power but rinses really well. It would be ok as a Wool detergent to wash new and worn for no more than 20 minutes woolies but not much else.
Good job it was on offer when we bought it!

Also you can see a bottle of Dry cleaning fluid with a red cap next to the "Vintage" Ariel Liquid re-fill pouch - very good for cleaning my spectacles of grease!

The softeners

The winner takes it all.

Comfort Easy Iron - non arguably the best softener on the UK market with the longest lasting scent.

VERY popular in our house!

gansky -
Tell me about that Kitchen Aid washer in the corner. I have never seen one like that.

We're having a big wash-in September 14th here so you can all come ane sniff my stash ;-) and even use some of them in the machines!

I've been collecting this stuff for a long time, nearly all of it came from estate sales and cost little or nothing. There rarely is anyone looking at the old, dusty boxes of cast-off detergents in the basement of these homes so the pickings have been good. It's been a while since I've 'hit the jackpot' so we're about due again for a some good finds this summer. The little old ladies who "hoarded" household supplies are the favorites - they bought and bought but used very little, or found products they liked better and just forgot about the old stuff.

The KitchenAid washer is from the mid-80's and is a all-pushbutton model. You push the button the cycle you want and the timer sets itself!

Hope to see you all in September!

Rob,
okay okay, i need two things from the UK, Bounce tumble dryer sheets and a Persil ball for when i use the front loaders at the laundromat, you have no idea how much i would pay for these things lol.
Yay, my radiant is still alive, i used the last of your persil non bio tabs the other day, had some grubby whites that needed some proper cleaning, can't beat Persil for that :)

Great collections guys, does anyone have any favourites?, whats everyone perfect detergent/softner combo?

Matt

And i just found the toilt paper we lost.. Gansky your collection is awesome.. I need to start finding estate sales here

Ajax with Bleach Liquid

That's not a bad detergent. if anything use it for lightly soiled fabrics. It is also low sudsing, at least in my water.
