We just bought a new frig and the drawers were poor sliders. Many years ago I sprayed Armorall in the tracts of a storage sheds doors and they worked like on rollers. If you just spray a bit on a 1/4 sheet of paper towel and wipe the contact parts lightly and you'll be amazed I think. It should last a long time as the shed I resprayed after many years.

Thanks for the tip.  On our KitchenAid fridge, the crisper drawer has some kind of seal and requires a good shove for the last inch or so to get it completely closed.

That sounds suggestive, rp. Food grade silicone oil used to coat the innards of ice makers, will work the same way. My mom had a couple of nice manual can openers that got very hard to turn and it freed them up right away.

Tom, which one?  " . . . a good shove for the last inch . . ." or "Thanks for the tip."  ???

I guess if I had mentioned silicone lube, which like you is what I'd use, I'd have had to post in DL.

I'm sorry if you need lube for the last inch :) .... The point of the armorall is its not messy, it lasts well and won't attract dirt like most lubes. Plus many people already have some in their garage or cabinet. ;)
